Day 1 : Kalimpong
On your arrival at Bagdogra airport or NJP
railway station, we will take you to Pelling
(8okm 3 to 4hrs journey), on arrival at
kalimpong you would check in to the hotel
and leisure your time in the hotel. Kalimpong
is in the height of 4000ft and it is bordering
India with Tibet and Bhutan. It has excellent
climate because of that during their period
British people acquired the area and built
houses and rest houses and other institutions.
The old churches, the Graham's home, the
Morgan House, golf course are some of them.
Now a day it has become heavens of boarding
schools, and tourist throng to this place
from all over the world. Overnight stay
at Kalimpong Hotel.
Day 2 : Kalimpong
In the morning after break fast, you will
proceed for local sightseeing. You would
thoroughly enjoy the virgin forests, valleys,
meadows and orchid nurseries. One of the
main trades here is that the export of Orchids
and Gladiolus. It is also famous for traditional
handicrafts. The wood work, metal crafts,
Leptcha jewelries, wooden masks etc. would
lure the tourist.
Places for local sightseeing
It takes less than an hour to walk from
the town centre up through stands of bamboo
to Dr Graham's Home, which was founded in
1900 on the lower slopes of Deole Hill.
Durpin Dhara Hill: Towering over the town
of Kalimpong is the Durpin Dara hill at
an altitude of 1402 m which offers breathtaking
views. Zong Dog Palri Fo-Brong Monastery
- Tibetan monasteries - Flower and Orchid
nurseries including river rafting (Rafting
charge Extra), Overnight stay at Kalimpong

Day 3 : Gangtok
The day starts with early breakfast and
check out from kalimpong hotel. Today you
would proceed to Gangtok (5500 Ft), Sikkim
- the Land of the immaculate and unspoiled
natural beauty with alpine landscapes and
thick luxuriant forests, rivers in torrent
and peaceful lakes. The number of places
visiting would purely depend on time you
spend at each place.
Following are the major sightseeing places
at Gangtok:- Jawaharlal Nehru botanical
garden, Shanti view point, Do-Drul Chorten
Stupa, Research institute of Tibetology,
Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom
Centre, Flower exhibition near White memorial
Hall, Banjhakari Falls, Ranka Monastery,
Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok, Tashi View point.
Overnight stay at Gangtok Hotel.
Day 4 : Gangtok
The day starts at around 7am, traveling
almost 35 km to reach Tsongo (Lake pronounced
as Changoo") lake. Narrow roads, steep
heights, zigzag curves and deep valleys,
make this a daring trip and all around greeneries,
beautiful rare flowers and yaks on both
sides of the road turn this an unforgettable
journey. Tsongo Lake is an oval shape lake
with a deep of 50 feet and area of 1 km.
Most interesting thing about this lake is
that it will be totally frozen during January
to April just like the Dal Lake in Srinagar.
Nathulla Pass: India-China border, where
the ancient silk route once passed through,
is 14200 ft above from sea level. You need
a special permission from the Indian Army
to visit this area. Shri Baba Harbajan Mandir:
This temple, devoted to a Sikh army soldier
is around 52 km away from Gangtok city.
The clean air of Gangtok would give you
soothing freshness as you plunge into slumber.
(Nathulla Pass-depend on special permission
from the Indian Army).Overnight stay at
Gangtok Hotel.
To visit the above places the visitor must
get valid pass from Sikkim police and tourism
dept. To visit Nathulla Pass the visitor
should have a special permission from the
Indian Army. so, to help us to arrange these
passes, you have to submit with us copies
of ID –proof and recent passport size
photographs in advance. Also carry sufficient
winter cloths, like sweater, jackets, winter
head and ear gears, etc. If you are not
medically fit or have height problems don't
travel to above said destinations or wind
up the journey at Tosongo Lake and back
to Gangtok. Gangtok is a no smoking area
and one should respect the law of the land.
Nathulla Pass would be off bound for visitors
on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Day 5 : Gangtok
- Pelling
In the morning after breakfast, you would
proceed for a half day local sightseeing.
Rumtek Monastery, 24 kms from Gangtok was
built in 1960 by His holiness the late 16th
Gyalwa Karmapa & this is a replica of
the original Kagyurpa Monastery in Tibet,
a must see for every visitor, the seat of
the "Kagyu Order" . Behind the
Monastery is the generously decorated Karmae
Nalanda Institute of Buddhist Studies which
attracts students from the world over. Here
one can find the most unique religious scriptures
& art objects of the world.
In noon you would check out from the hotel
and proceed to Pelling via Ravangla (6800
Ft) , a small township & transit point
to various destinations in South & West
Sikkim, situated at the base of Meenam Hill
(10300 Ft). On arrival at Pelling you would
check in to the hotel and leisure your time
in the hotel. Pelling is situated at a height
of 2985 m above sea level. The green area
with lots of lakes, waterfalls, and rare
trees would mesmerize you with its beauty.
Most attractive point and the place is the
view of height Indian mountain peak Kanchenjunga
.Plus you can see many Glaciers. Overnight
stay at Pelling hotel.
Day 6 : Pelling
In the early morning, we would proceed for
the Khecheopalri Lake, also called the "Wish
Fulfilling Lake". It lies in a depression
surrounded by prayer flags & forested
hills. Then to Yuksom (5800 Ft) . This is
the first capital of the Kingdom of Sikkim
& the coronation site of the first Chogyal.
Evidence of the enthronement ceremony can
still be seen in the form of stone seats
and the footprint of the Head Lama on a
stone. The stone throne constructed for
the great event stands today at Norbugang
which has been declared a Heritage site.
. Another point of attractions at the place
is the view of the highest Indian mountain
peak, Kanchenjunga. Plus you can see many
Glaciers. You can also visit The Pemayangtse
Monastery. This is one of the ancient monasteries
in northern part of India. The famous annual
Chaam (monk dance) is held on the 28th and
29th day of the 12th month of the Tibetan
Lunar Calendar. Dressed in costumes of rare
magnificence the lamas represent Mahakala
and Guru Drag-dmar. The third day dance
ends with a colour full ceremony. Overnight

Day 7 : Pelling
- Darjeeling
In the morning after breakfast, you would
proceeds to Darjeeling (QUEEN OF HILL STATIONS).
You will be delighted with the "Queen
of the hills" and you might even feel
a thunderbolt within you, as you feel relaxed
with a kind of unique experience of mesmerizing
view of the hills all along the sides of
the road stretching about 73 km / 3.5 hours
of your journey up the hill to Darjeeling.
On arrival at Darjeeling, check in to the
hotel there. In the evening, if you so wish.
You can make a short trip by the world famous
toy train of Darjeeling or Shopping in Darjeeling
will be a superb experience as it offers
you a wide variety of items representing
different cultures and lifestyles. The clean
air of Darjeeling would give you soothing
freshness as you plunge into slumber.
Day 8 : Darjeeling
'Sun and Moon never wait for us'- So your
sight seeing starts pretty early at 3.30
am for a spectacular sunrise at Tiger Hill,
the majestic Kunchenjunga range and the
Everest peak that would never go from your
memory. Tiger Hill is the highest mountain
point at Darjeeling. On the way back, a
visit at Ghoom/Ghum Monastery (ESTD. in
1875) and the Gorkha War Memorial would
be a different experience. Batasia Loop
and beautiful gardens around it would exalt
the coexistence of the nature and the technology.
Batasia Loop is the ancient technology to
adjust the deep height/slope of the hill
railway track for the smooth running of
the trains. After breakfast at the hotel,
you would proceed for sightseeing at various
spots like the Himalayan Mountaineering
Institute, the Zoo, Tenzing Rock, Labong
Race Course, Tea Gardens, Rock garden &
Ganga Maya Park,Dhirdham temple etc. Don't
forget to pen down the marvelous thoughts
for a nostalgic future, before going to
the bed back in the hotel.
Day 9 : Darjeeling
Mirik-Darjeeling
After breakfast, you would
proceed to Mirik. Mirik is situated at a
height of 6000ft above sea level.(50km/2.00hrs).
It is one of the beautiful hill stations
with its own special charms. Mirik has a
beautiful lake and equally eye-soothing
tea gardens. Striking view of sunrise and
sunset can be seen from Mirik Mountain.
One can enjoy the large area of orange orchards,
as Mirik being largest supplier of oranges
in West Bengal. From the top one can also
have an aerial view of the peaceful village
life around the hill area amidst the lush
tea gardens. Here you can also enjoy boat
and horse riding. Those who are interested
in gardening can buy variety of baby plants,
seeds and other accessories. In the evening
we return to Darjeeling along with the memories
of the day that would refuse to go from
your mind.
Day 10 :
Departure
After Breakfast,you will check out from
the hotel. We will transfer you to NJP Railway
station or Bagdogra Airport. You would enjoy
the beauty of nature once again during your
3 to 3-5 hours of drive en route to NJP/
Bagdogra down the hill.
