Kerala is probably the greenest place
you will ever see. The coconut palms, the
red tilted houses, the innumerable lakes
and beaches will remain long lasting impressions
to any visitor. The colorful festivals like
ONAM & VISHU, various types dances like
Kathakali, Kaikottikali, Mohiniyattom and
Koodiyattam, martial arts like Kalaripayattu
and wildlife sanctuaries are the other attractions.
Ayurveda the 3000 year old system of medicine
(recognized by World Health Organization
as a system of alternative medicine), is
becoming very popular all over the world.
Kerala is a very attractive tourist place
in Asia. Geologist are of the view that
Kerala was formed much later than the rest
of the subcontinent. Submarine earth movement
probably pushed up the land between the
curve of the Western Ghats to form this
wonderful land. It is possible that the
earth inhabitants could have witnessed this
geological event leading to the creation
of the myths & legends concerning the birth
of Kerala. Kerala enjoys balmy Weather almost
all through out the year. It is neither
too cold in the winter months nor too hot
in summer. The best time to visit is November
to February, where the air bracing and on
some morning there is a light mist.
Day 1 : DELHI
Arrive in Delhi and transfer to the hotel
for overnight stay.
Day 2 : DELHI
Morning free time for independent activities
or just to relax from the jet lag. Afternoon
proceed on a combined sightseeing tour of
Old & New Delhi. Overnight stay at the
Hotel.
Day 3 : DELHI
- COIMBATORE - PALAKKAD
Full day at Kairali – a health Centre
of a different kind. At Kairali, the ancient
art of curing various ailments by message,
herbal oils and relaxation therapies are
practiced. A unique educative experience
of natural, traditional methods of recuperation.
Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 4 :
PALAKKAD - COCHIN
Departure transfer to airport to bard either
direct or hopping flight to reach Cochin.
Arrive at the soul of South India and transferred
to the Hotel. overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 5 : COCHIN
- KATTAKAL
Depart for Kattakal the morning by surface.
The district is one of the best known for
its Ayurvedic centre. Commence the short
medication course for next three days, which
would include basic accommodation, a strict
and simple vegetarian diet and medication
involving various therapies. Overnight stay
at the Ayurvedic Centre.
Day 6 :
KATTAKAL
The day & overnight at the Centre getting
medication.
Day 7 :
KATTAKAL
The day & overnight at the Centre getting
medication.
Day 8 :
KATTAKAL - COCHIN
Depart by surface to arrive at Cochin. Arrive
and check-in at the Hotel. overnight stay
at the Hotel.
Day 9 :
COCHIN - PERIYAR
Morning sightseeing tour of Cochin. Later
in the afternoon drive by surface to arrive
at Periyar. Enroute to Periyar visit the
Rubber & Spice plantations. Periyar
is a famous South India National Park. Arrive
and check –in at the Hotel.
Day 10 : PERIYAR
- MADURAI
Early morning boat ride on the Lake Periyar
to see the herds of wildlife on the shore
of the Lake. Later drive by surface to reach
Madurai. Madurai is South India’s
famous temple town. arrive and check-in
at the Hotel. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 11 :
MADURAI - CHENNAI (MADRAS)
Morning visit to the Meenakshi temple and
the Palace. Later departure transfer to
the train station to board Madras bound
Superfast Train. Arrive at Madras and transferred
to the Hotel. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 12 :
CHENNAI (MADRAS) - KANCHIPURAM
Morning proceed on an excursion tour to
visit the famous shore and rock cut temples
of Kanchipuram & Mahabalipuram. Evening
stay at the Hotel.
Day 13 :
CHENNAI (MADRAS)
Departure transfer to the International
Airport to board onward destination flight.
